CEO and co-founder of Afekta Technologies Ltd., Dr Olli Kärkkäinen, has been awarded the BCPT Young Researcher Nordic Prize 2023 for his research contributions in the field of pharmacology and toxicology. The Finnish Society for Toxicology (https://www.toksikologit.fi/en/welcome/) nominated him as a candidate for the prize. Dr Kärkkäinen has researched effects of different exposures, like alcohol, drugs and nutrition, to the metabolome using metabolomics methods.
